2025 Francophone Film Festival Screening Held In Mersin

The Mersin Film Office, in collaboration with the French Cultural Centre in Turkey (Institut Français), brought the “Francophone Film Festival” to Mersin residents on 23-24-25 May. Now in its second year, the Francophone Film Festival contributed to the cultural richness of the city by bringing stories from different regions to Mersin audiences through cinema.

Held at the Congress and Exhibition Centre, the festival not only appealed to cinema enthusiasts but also highlighted the importance of international cultural exchange and creative artistry.The festival featured short films from French-speaking countries, award-winning productions, and independent films being screened in Türkiye for the first time.

 With the Francophone Film Festival, the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality made a significant contribution not only to the arts but also to intercultural dialogue. While bringing Mersin together with the world of cinema, the festival also offered residents the opportunity to connect with diverse lives and stories.
