The 27th Flying Broom Women's Film Festival Meets Cinema Lovers in Mersin for the First Time
Supported by the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Film Office and organized in collaboration with the Flying Broom Foundation, the Women Journalists Association (KGD), and Kadından Haber (Women’s News), the 27th Flying Broom Women's Film Festival made its debut in Mersin. Through two separate screening programs, the festival brought elite examples of women’s cinema to audiences in Mersin.
As one of the most well-established women’s film festivals, the 27th Flying Broom Women's Film Festival was held in Mersin for the first time with the support of the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Film Office.
Organized in partnership with the Flying Broom Foundation, the Women Journalists Association (KGD), and Kadından Haber, the festival's first screening program took place from December 13 to 15, 2024, at the Mersin Congress and Exhibition Center. The festival kicked off with a highly attended gala night.
Following the opening screening of the film "Yolda" (On the Road), high-quality productions centered on women's stories were presented to film enthusiasts in Mersin over three days.
Drawing immense interest, the festival continued to bring diverse examples of women’s cinema to Mersin, returning to audiences with its second screening program between December 19 and 21, 2024.
Carried out with the support of the Mersin Metropolitan Municipality Film Office, the festival contributed significantly to the city's cultural and artistic life while aiming to connect the works of female filmmakers with broader audiences.
